Jakarta, indomaritim.com – Indonesia strengthens defense cooperation with Singapore through a meeting between Indonesian Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin and Singaporean Defense Minister Chan Chung Sing in Jakarta.
According to Antara News Agency, Sjamsoeddin posted information about the meeting on his official Instagram account @sjafrie.sjamsoeddin, on Wednesday.
Sjamsoeddin received Chan Chung Sing at the office of the Defense Ministry in Jakarta on Tuesday (July 14).
The Minister said the meeting was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere, reflecting the close ties and strong foundation of defense cooperation between Indonesia and Singapore.
Sjamsoeddin stated that defense cooperation between Indonesia and Singapore continues to be strengthened in various areas, from joint military exercises, defense technology development, to military personnel exchanges.
According to him, the cooperation is expected to further strengthen the defense capabilities of both countries and support security stability in the Southeast Asian region.
On the same day, both ministers also attended the inauguration of the Indonesia-Singapore Defense Alumni Forum in Jakarta.
The forum was established to strengthen ties between the Indonesian and Singaporean defense communities.
Sjamsoeddin hopes the forum will further strengthen defense ties and bilateral relations between the two countries, allowing existing cooperation to continue to grow. (Dul)
