Jakarta, indomaritim.com – The Indonesian Navy (TNI AL) plans to involve 25 warships from various countries in an event marking Jakarta’s 500th anniversary in August 2027.
Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung revealed the plan at City Hall on Thursday, describing it as “a gift” for the capital.
“Next year, we will celebrate five centuries of Jakarta, with the Indonesian Navy planning an event involving a number of warships. Around 25 warships from various countries are expected to take part,” he said as cited from Antara News Agency.
The governor instructed an aide at the Jakarta provincial administration’s secretariat to prepare the event, including facilitating and coordinating the arrival of foreign guests. (Edo)
