Jakarta, indomaritim.com – Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto arrived in Jakarta via Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base on Saturday morning after concluding his state visit to Paris, France, from May 27 to 29.
According to Antara News Agency, Prabowo landed aboard a presidential aircraft at 9:58 a.m. local time following his departure from France the previous day.
Upon arrival, the president was welcomed by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, and National Police (Polri) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.
Foreign Affairs Minister Sugiono and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya were among the officials accompanying him on the return flight.
Earlier, the Presidential Secretariat noted that the head of state received a military send-off ceremony featuring a guard of honor lining either side of the red carpet laid at Orly Airport in Paris.
French Minister of State for Francophonie, International Partnerships, and French Nationals Abroad Eléonore Caroit attended the procession, walking the Indonesian leader through the carpet toward his aircraft.
President Prabowo began his Paris visit with a state reception at Les Invalides, followed by a bilateral meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace, where the two also attended a state dinner.
He also used the visit, his fourth since assuming the presidency in 2024, to perform Eid al-Adha prayers alongside Indonesians at the Paris embassy.
Cabinet Secretary Wijaya said in a statement that the diplomatic engagements in Paris resulted in a range of deliverables, including four commercial deals encompassing energy security, trade, and defense cooperation.
He noted that Prabowo and Macron also witnessed the establishment of the France-Indonesia High-Level Business Council, initiated by the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) and Movement of the Enterprises of France (MEDEF) International. (RR)
